As a professional therapist specialising in mobilising muscles, improving performance and educating horse owners, I run a successful and expanding business in and around Cirencester and in the Midlands.
The main strands are:
- Equine Sports and Remedial Massage and Manipulation and associated therapies,
- Human Sports and Remedial Massage and Manipulation
- Equitation and Teaching
- HORSES INSIDE OUT, specialising in lecture demonstrations.
I regularly write articles for magazines including British Dressage, Horse and Rider, Eventing World Wide and Your horse Magazine. My first book How Your Horse Moves was published in March 2009.
Originally from the Midlands, I graduated with a First Class Honours Degree from the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, having also obtained qualifications as a Human Remedial Massage Therapist at the Midland School of Massage in Nottingham and as an Equine Sports Massage Therapist with Mary Bromiley. I also graduated as a McTimoney-Corley Animal Manipulator from the Oxford College of Equine Physical Therapy.
I regularly attend courses in all my fields of interest and am committed to giving both humans, and our equine partners the best possible levels of care and consideration. I work in close collaboration with Vets and regularly attend veterinary seminars and conferences. I am a BHS Intermediate Instructor and Stable Manager.
I have represented the BHS in Sweden as part of the prestigious Leonardo Exchange programme which aims to share knowledge with our European Counterparts. This has given me invaluable insight into alternative methods of training and treatments, the best of which I incorporate into my own practices.
On a more personal note, I compete at British Eventing from pre –novice to Advanced level, BSJA and Team Chasing.
I have represented Great Britain twice at the Student Rider’s Nations Cup in Austria 2004 and Canada 2006 where I achieved Individual Gold.
I currently own one horse, with whom I compete and who is my model for HORSES INSIDE OUT
